How to Choose the Right Paper for #PosterPrinting?

Selecting the right paper for printing your posters is a tricky chore. To choose between the quality and function of a paper is not easy. At times you may find a paper, which may want to work with but at the end you may find that your cost of production has gone up significantly. So, selecting a paper that’s reasonable but good for the product is a tough job. Here are a few things that we have come up with and which you must keep in your mind while making your choice of paper for printing posters.

Always go for coated papers

Coated papers are made up of china clay or other types of coating to one or both the sides. It comes in a matte, silk or gloss finish. A coated paper, however, reflects a lot more light than the uncoated ones and that makes it brighter. They are used for creating illustrations and photographs other than posters. This material is even resistant to smudge and dirt.

Consider the weight and thickness

Always remember one thing-if the poster is to be placed outside, it will be essential for you to use a paper, which is durable and not fade in sun. Those with more weight will even hold better against rain and wind and thus will stay the way you out for long than a paper that’s thin. Thus more the weight of the paper sheet is, stiffer or thicker will it be. 20~24# is the standard weight of a paper and 24~28# is best for ordinary poster printing in Brisbane

A tip for poster printing

Those who want their poster to last for long can use many other alternatives to paper but however they will be a bit more costly. You can print the marketing material using tarpaulin. It is a plastic mesh. You can even use plastic printing. That is not paper really but a great alternative, which can be used if you want your poster to last longer.
